Pastor Dennis and Pastor Rebecca Harmeson

Picture
Pastor Dennis and his family came to Orlando Wesleyan in the summer of 2009.
I grew up in the Church; my grandfather Vernon Harmeson was a Church of God pastor and my grandfather Leroy Vaughn was a COG elder. Despite their godly influence I made my own way for many years.  It wasn’t until January 2001 when my wife Rebecca and I decided to go “church shopping” and found Pinellas Park Wesleyan (Park Place) that my faith became real to me.  We both recommitted our lives to Christ and dove in with both feet serving God. I first served in Children’s Ministry for several years and then began to feel a pull to work with the youth in the church.  In 2007 I knew God was speaking to me and I felt a definite call to full time ministry. In July of 2007 I set aside a successful career in retail management to pursue God and the call to ministry.  My family and I moved to Orange Park, Florida where I continued to work in Youth Ministry at Faith Wesleyan. I began taking classes through the Florida District toward my ordination as well as pursuing my B.S. in Biblical Studies from Indiana Wesleyan University. In 2009 our family moved again, this time to Orlando where I am now the Lead Pastor at Orlando Wesleyan Church.  My wife Rebecca and I have been married for eleven years and have been blessed with three amazing kids, Aaron, Ian and Samantha.  I am thankful for the new life the Lord has given me and for the people He has placed in my path to this day.

Pastor Sandy Fleuriot

Pastor Sandy is our Children's Pastor. He came to Orlando Wesleyan in January of 2010.  He was born October 31, 1990. He was born in Haiti and lived there until he was 12yrs old. He is a member of the Wesleyan Church and a high school graduate. He is taking classes to become a pastor through the Florida Wesleyan Lay Academy. He lives his life to follow God’s will, whatever He has planned for him. He felt the call to become a Children pastor toward the end of his senior year in High School. At least that is when it became clear to him what God wanted him to do. He gave his heart to Christ when he was 12yrs old and his life was changed from that point on. Since then he began working with kids and helping out at his church. Even then he had no idea that he would be here, studying to become a Pastor. We are very fortunate to have Pastor Sandy on our staff.
