The compassion ministries mission statement is very simple, “We offer a hand up, not a handout.” The compassion ministry has two fully functional departments that provide everything from a hot breakfast and lunch to public assistance help.
Granny Annie's Kitchen
Granny Annie’s Story
A challenge faced the Orlando Wesleyan community -- a handful of people in our congregation had no place to eat. Granny Annie set out to make a change. Instead of dining with family after church Granny Ann decided to dedicate her lunch funds to feeding those in need with a homemade Sunday supper. What started with a few attendees has grown to over 50 people in time. Granny Annie can no longer operate without the help of a faithful kitchen staff. We need community-dedicated people to join us at Granny Annie’s Kitchen.
Help Granny Annie by:
Donating food or funds
Help preparing and serve food
Donating clothing or canned goods

I was hungry and you fed me, thirsty and you gave me a drink;
I was a stranger and you received me in your homes, naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you took care of me, in prison and you visited me.
We are now providing all of the services to the homeless community in conjunction with the Samaritan Resource Center at the address below.
